Codex settings

/admin/settings/codex is the control panel for Codex, the money side of the portal. It decides how charges get sorted, when the AI runs, and what gets flagged for your attention. If you haven't set up Codex yet, start with Connecting your bank; this page is for tuning it afterward.

AI

• Morning briefing on the Overview: a short AI summary of your money each time you open Codex. Turning it off also stops those AI calls entirely.
• Suggest sorting automatically on the To review page: when on, Codex reads your unsorted charges and pre-fills its best guess as the page opens. When off, you sort by hand or press Auto-sort yourself.
• How sure the AI must be before one-click filing: a confidence bar from 50% to 90%. At 50% you trust the AI more and click less; at 90% only near-certain matches get the one-click treatment. 70% is the recommended middle.

Money

• Never auto-file a charge at or over ($): a hard dollar gate. Charges at or above this amount always wait for you to pick, no matter how sure the AI is. Set it to 0 to require a click on everything.
• Tax set-aside rate (%): feeds the "Set aside for taxes" card on the Codex Overview. It's an estimate to keep tax time from being a surprise, not a filing figure; your accountant has the final word.

Warnings

• Flag a job's margin as thin below (%): jobs whose margin lands under this line get flagged in the Jobs view.
• Possible double charge window (days): two charges from the same vendor for the same amount within this many days get flagged as a possible duplicate.
• Ignore double charges under ($): keeps small stuff, the daily coffee, repeat fuel stops, out of the duplicate warnings.

Sorting

• Default cost category when a charge lands on a job: the category Codex pre-selects whenever you attach a charge to a job.
• Apply my saved vendor rules automatically: when on, new charges matching one of your vendor rules sort themselves as the bank syncs. The rules themselves live at Codex → Bank → Rules.

Categories

Transaction labels, including any custom categories you've added, live in one place: Codex → Bank → Categories. The settings page shows how many custom categories you have and links you there to view, add, rename, or remove them. More in Bank rules and categories.

Bank connections

The bottom of the page lists your connected banks, up to two, with each institution's name, account, and last sync. Disconnecting a bank stops the feed but keeps everything already imported, so your history and reports stay intact.
