Text Message Terms

Text messages from The Contractor Codex are sent by Bulwark Black LLC, doing business as The Contractor Codex, from the toll-free number +1 (844) 405-5680. Messages are sent on behalf of the business you work with, and that business is named in every message so you always know who the update is about.

This is a notification line. It sends updates about your projects, appointments, quotes, and invoices. It is not monitored for conversation. If you reply with anything other than STOP or HELP, you may get an automatic reply letting you know the line is not monitored.

We only text you if you ask us to. You give consent by checking a box in one of two places, and the box is always unchecked until you check it:

• When you set up your client portal account. The profile form includes an optional checkbox next to your phone number.
• When you accept a quote. The acceptance form includes the same optional checkbox. Checking it is never required to accept a quote.

The checkbox reads:

“Text me updates from [business name] about my projects, appointments, and invoices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out anytime. See our text message terms.”

When you opt in, we record the date, time, and place you gave consent. Consent applies to the business you opted in with. If you work with more than one business on The Contractor Codex, each one needs its own opt-in.

Messages cover things happening on your account: a quote is ready to review, an invoice is ready to pay, a payment reminder, an appointment reminder, a project update, or a request to leave a review when a job wraps up. Message frequency varies with the activity on your projects. There is no fixed number of messages per month.

These are service messages, not marketing. We do not send promotional or advertising texts.

We never charge you for text messages. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply, depending on your plan.

Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will get one confirmation text, and then nothing further. Opting out stops all texts to your number from this line, for every business you work with here. To start receiving texts again, reply START.

Your phone number and your text message opt-in status are never sold, and never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. We share your number only with our text message delivery provider (Twilio), and only to deliver the messages you asked for. Our full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service also apply.
