Built by a Contractor, for Contractors.

Who builds this

The Contractor Codex is built and run by one person at Bulwark Black LLC, an independent, veteran-owned software company based in Spokane, Washington. It’s not a venture-funded startup chasing a growth target, and there’s no board.

Bulwark Black LLC started building The Contractor Codex in March 2026 after spending years watching service businesses lose hours every week stitching together quote tools, contract signers, invoice generators, and time trackers. Most of those tools were built for one shape of business; none of them talked to each other. The result was duplicate data entry, missed payments, and clients chasing PDFs back and forth in email.

One portal. Your brand. Your workflow from quote to paid. That’s what we set out to ship, and that’s what this product is.

What we believe

• Your tools should be your brand. Every quote, invoice, and email your client sees should look like it came from you, not from us. White-labeling isn’t a feature on the enterprise tier; it’s the default.
• Pricing should be honest. Two flat monthly choices with the same complete feature set: $15 Standard or $35 Pro, which only lowers the service fee on payments. Unlimited clients and projects, with no per-seat charge.
• Money should go to you, not to a middleman. We use Stripe Connect so payments land in your bank account directly. We never hold your client’s funds.
• Software should make you faster, not busier. If a workflow requires more than three clicks, we owe you a redesign.
